ANNOUNCEMENT
The County of Stark, through the Stark County Engineer’s Office, intends to contract for Engineering services, Construction Inspection and Administration Services, and Right of Way Acquisition Services. Engineering and/or construction management and right of way acquisition firms interested in being considered for a contract to provide the required services should reply with a statement of qualifications no later than 12:00 p.m. on January 8th, 2010. Statements received after this deadline will not be considered.
Statements of qualifications should include information regarding the firm’s history, education and experience of owners and key technical personnel who will be assigned to the project; the technical expertise of the firm’s current staff; the firm’s ODOT Prequalifications; the firm’s experience in design in similar projects; availability of staff, the firm’s equipment and facilities, inspection services, and right of way services, as required); and any previous work performed for he Stark County Engineer’s Office. Only one statement of qualifications shall be submitted, for all potential project within the time frame specified below. Statements of Qualifications shall be kept on file at the Stark County Engineer’s Office for a two (2) year period, ending December 31st, 2011. From January 8th, 2010 - December 31st, 2011, all Quality Based selections made for engineering services, construction inspection services and right of way acquisition Service will be made based on the statements of qualifications submitted.
The County, upon determining to proceed with a project, shall short list a minimum of three and a maximum of five firms from those firms that provide qualification statements on or before January 8th, 2010. Those firms shall be notified and provided with an opportunity to submit a two (2) page (maximum) Interest Letter regarding the specific project referenced. Final selection by the County will be made based on the Qualification Statement and the Interest Letter.
One Statement of Qualifications should be transmitted to David Torrence P.E., Assistant County Engineer, Stark County Engineer’s Office, 5165 Southway Street SW, Canton, OH 44706. One additional copy shall be transmitted to Marilyn Hoover, Administrative Assistant, at the Stark County Commissioners Office, 110 Central Plaza South, Suite 240, Canton, Ohio 44702.
As required by Ohio Revised Code, Section 153.65-71, responding firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications. Following this evaluation, the County of Stark will enter into contract negotiations with the most highly ranked firm, based on the above criteria for the following projects.
The following services are those in which Stark County will be looking for in the Statements of Qualifications: Environmental Document - Categorical Exclusion; Environmental Document - EA/EIS; Safety Studies; Traffic Studies; Non-Complex Roadway Design; Complex Roadway Design; Level 1, 2 and/or 3 Bridge Design; Basic Signal Design and Signal System Design; Right of Way Plan Development; Right of Way Acquisition Services (including but not limited to Title Search, Appraisals, Negotiations, Closing, and Relocation Assistance); ; Right of Way Appraisal Review; Right of Way Relocation Review; Geotechnical Engineering and/or Test Lab; Construction Inspection and Administration.

LEGAL NOTICE
Sealed proposals will be received by the Harrison County Commissioners, 100 West Market Street, Cadiz, Ohio 43907, until 10:00 A.M. local time on December 9, 2009 for providing 11, 600 lineal feet of 8” SDR 11 HDPE pressure pipe (iron pipe size) and appurtenance to the project site in Cadiz Township, Harrison County, Ohio to be used to complete the project known as the Harrison County/Cadiz Village Wastewater Treatment Plant and at said time and palace publicly opened and read aloud.
Specifications and proposal forms are on file at the Harrison County Engineer’s Office, Cadiz, Ohio (740-942-8867 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday), and will be made available to prospective bidders upon request. Proposals shall be submitted only on forms furnished by the engineer. Requests for specifications and proposal forms may be made in person, by telephone or by mail.
Cost is $10 per set - non- refundable.
Each request must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials and services in the implementation of the project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive 84-9 shall be required.
The Harrison County Commissioners reserve the right to waive irregularities and t reject any or all bids.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids for one (1) conventional, 71 passenger school bus chassis and one (1) conventional, 71 passenger school bus bodies will be received by the East Holmes Local Board of Education at the Administration Office of East Holmes Local Schools, P.O. Box 182, 6108 C.R. 77, Berlin, OH 44610-0182 until 12:00 Noon E.S.T. on Monday, December 14, 2009.
Copies of the specifications may be obtained from the Administration Office, 330-893-2610.
Each bid must be clearly marked on the envelope that it is a “School Bus Bid”. Attention of the bidders is particularly called to the requirements of the bid bond or certified check as described in the instructions to the bidders.
The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or parts of any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bids received. No bids may be withdrawn or modified by the bidder.

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Control of the City of North Canton, Ohio, at the office of the Director of Administration, 145 North Main Street, North Canton, Ohio, until 11:00 A.M., Daylight Savings Time, Thursday, December 3, 2009 for the purchase of Chemicals for Drinking Water Plant authorized by Ordinance No. 58-09, as passed by City Council on August 26, 2009.
